Windsor, ON – This weekend the Windsor Symphony Orchestra wraps their mainstage concerts with a nod to Friendship. The WSO performs Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations, which he wrote after his wife said she liked the tune. He composed 14 variations of a melody, each inspired by his friends and family.
Also, Jean Sibelius’ Concerto in D minor performed by violinist Roni Shitrit. Maestro Franz says, “I’m so excited that Roni Shitrit can fill in for our performance of Sibelius’ violin concerto this weekend. She is an incredible young artist with a strong musical voice that is not to be missed. Her Canadian debut with us is just the start of her rise to fame.”
