The WSO is honoured to be one of thirteen recipients of the 2024 Community Organization Investment initiative for organizations serving Sandwich/west Windsor and Delray/Southwest Detroit. We are proud to contribute to the success and well-being of the residents here in Windsor West by connecting people through music. Thank you Gordie Howe International Bridge for this wonderful opportunity.
“Through the support of the Gordie Howe International Bridge team, the Sandwich/West Windsor community will be filled with the magic of live orchestral music. This grant will provide students, families, and seniors the opportunity to experience WSO concerts through the organization’s Strings in Schools program, Music for Health, and Handel’s Messiah at Assumption Church. There is a growing body of evidence that shows the positive impact of music on mental, emotional, and physical health. These benefits will be shared with the Sandwich/west Windsor region thanks to the support of the Gordie Howe International Bridge team.”
