Time: 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Join the Windsor Symphony Community Orchestra for a concert that transcends time and borders, celebrating the universal language of music. Experience the timeless melodies of Star Wars and masterpieces by Verdi and Sibelius. The first performance of Sibelius’ Karelia was conducted by the composer himself, in front of an enthusiastic audience. In a letter to his brother he wrote: “You couldn’t hear a single note of the music, everyone was on their feet cheering and clapping.” To end this fantastic concert, witness the Canadian premiere of Ofrenda de Cempasúchil by Mexican composer Rodrigo Lomán, inspired by folk music and ancient Mexican traditions.
