Becky Ng, WSO Education & Outreach Manager gives opening remarks.

Maestro Robert Franz, WSO Music Director says, “This will be the most unique concert we’ve done in years! Literally! We’re excited to finally be able to share the full orchestra with our friends in Leamington. Performing at Uni-Fab, this huge industrial fabricating plant with its amazing acoustics is going to bring a new feel to our music for our patrons and musicians alike! John Williams’ music is perfect for this unique venue!”

Mayor of the Municipality of Leamington, Hilda MacDonald said, “We are excited to host the Windsor Symphony Orchestra in Leamington,” said Hilda MacDonald, Mayor of the Municipality of Leamington. “Listening to the full orchestra perform the sounds of John Williams at a distinctive venue like Uni-Fab, will offer a truly unique experience for our residents and guests.”

The concert was a huge success! The WSO played to a packed “fabricating plant” of 300 patrons. The acoustics and setting were incredibly authentic, and just what a John Williams concert should be! This family friendly concert was a great way to introduce the symphony to the young ones! The WSO is looking forward to returning to Leamington soon!

Special thanks to Abe Fehr and his daughter Mary and the Uni-Fab employees, Mayor Hilda MacDonald, Municipality of Leamington, all the volunteers, and everyone who attended for an unforgettable night!
