OCAF grant helps WSO market 75^th season to community!

Windsor, ON – The Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund (OCAF), has awarded the Windsor Symphony Orchestra (WSO) a $50,000 grant investment to support the promotion and marketing of the orchestra’s 75^th Anniversary season in Windsor Essex.

“This grant is very important to the WSO. It will allow us to celebrate with our community, our patrons and business partners, in a way that we would not have been able to do without it. 75 years is quite a milestone; this grant gives us a chance to make events and activities very special; it gives us a way to say thank you to our community!” says Sheila Wisdom, WSO Executive Director. “We’ll be reaching out past our standard marketing and advertising, into other markets, across the border and up the 401 in attempts to attract visitors to our area to share in our 75^th Anniversary.”

OCAF grants aim to increase cultural tourism by providing investments to assist Ontario cultural organizations to promote, market and present one-off or first-time events, which are designed to attract new tourists and visitors to cultural events. OCAF supports events that foster economic growth.
