Music for Health returns with 4 performances!

Windsor, ON – The Windsor Symphony Orchestra (WSO) is happy to announce that Music for Health is back at an assisted living or retirement home near you!

It has been over 2 years since the WSO String Quartet has performed and been able to take music to retirement homes.

Becky Ng, Manager WSO Education and Outreach says, “Music for Health is a wonderful way to bring the beautiful sounds of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra to senior members of our community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share the joy of music.”

Residents request songs from a long list of music prepared by the WSO. Often emotional, residents love hearing their favourite pieces performed live. They say it “takes them back” to a much-loved memory.

There are neurological and physical benefits to hearing live music, and when audience members participate in creating their concert by choosing their own songs, there is a magic to that experience that is joyful for everyone.

• Thurs. December 8 at 1pm – Schlegel Villages (1800 Talbot Rd. Windsor, ON)
• Thurs. December 8 at 6:30pm – Chartwell Royal Marquis (590 Grand Marais Rd. E., Windsor, ON)
• Fri. December 9 at 1pm – Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus Lobby (1995 Lens Ave., Windsor, ON)
