Suporting the WSO

Every orchestra relies on a mix of revenue from ticket and subscription sales, grants, and fundraising to maintain it's annual operations. The Windsor Symphony Orchestra is no different. If you are able to support the WSO, please consider an annual or monthly donation.

The WSO has two funds to support right now: the Resiliency Fund and the Digital Education Fund.

The WSO has also created a first-ever Digital Education Series, a set of 10 hour-long music modules or episodes designed for students in Kindergarten through Grade 3, and Grades 4 through Grade 6. In each episode, students are guided through a pre-concert exploration of sounds and concepts to be learned. These concepts are then developed through a digital concert performance by the WSO that connects music to art, numeracy, and literacy. Students engage with what they learned firsthand through a creative post-concert activity.

We are incredibly grateful to several sponsors and donors who have come together to create a matching funds campaign in support of the Digital Education Concert Series. Pledges of $13,000 were made to match any donations made by the public and the full amount was donated and matched!

This is a program designed by educators for educators, at a time when COVID-19 has teachers doubling their efforts to provide a strong education to our community’s young students. The need for the Digital Education Series is clear, but we need your support to continue helping teachers bring this program to the classroom.

As the impacts of COVID-19 are felt around the world and dramatic lifestyle changes make people feel more isolated than ever, the WSO’s mission to connect the people of Windsor and Essex County through the power and passion of music has never been more important.

With that in mind, the WSO has created The WSO Resiliency Fund. This fund covers operating expenses related to deliverying WSO programs and series digitally until it is safe to gather again in our community. This began with our "WSO at Home" Summer programs like Music for the Frontlines, Read-Aloud with the WSO, and Music for health, and has expanded to a full Digital Concert Series, and more

Thank you to Hogarth Hermiston Severs LLP and all of our Giving Tuesday donors who successfully raised $7,000 in 24 hours to support new WSO programming in 20201!

Donate today to support the reslience of the WSO to keep connecting the people of Windsor and Essex County through the power and passion of music!

Thank you to all our sponsors, donors, subscribers, patrons, and community partners who empower the WSO to do this work. Your support is instrumental.
