This concert features 3 great composers of the 18th century.
Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Platée is a playful and amusing opera combining witty storytelling with delightful music. Joseph Cassaneà de Mondonville brought beautiful sounds to the world through his compositions and performances. Mozart‘s, The Marriage of Figaro is celebrated for its brilliant vocal writing, intricate ensembles, and its exploration of complex human relationships.
You’ll hear music from The Marriage of Figaro performed by baritone Korin Thomas-Smith.
