Show Performed at Capitol Theatre Receives Nod at Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television awards!

Congratulations to Barry Avrich, Harbinder Singh, and Dave Russell on their Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television nominations for From Ontario With Love: A Celebration of Hope.

Roberta Battaglia, America’s Got Talent finalist, performs alongside the Windsor Symphony Orchestra at the Capitol Theatre, December 31, 2020.

Sheila Wisdom, Windsor Symphony Orchestra’s Executive Director, says “Barry not only played a role directing the show but also in making it happen in a time of the tightest COVID-19 restrictions. The WSO is proud to have been a part of the performance, showcasing America’s Got Talent Finalist Roberta Battaglia. We are proud to have hosted the event in Windsor at the Capitol Theatre as the kick-off event of the theatre’s centennial year. Congratulations to Barry and everyone involved, especially Jeff Burrows and Rob Petroni of LiUNA!625 in Windsor who came up with the idea and pushed it to completion in very difficult circumstances. Thanks also to Ontario Minster Lisa MacLeod. This show was one of hope and joy. From Ontario With Love gave us a blueprint for an annual showcase of Ontario talent hosted across the province. “
