WINDSOR, ON – It’s hard to imagine downtown Windsor’s Capitol Theatre without Gayle Allen.
Allen has been meeting and greeting Capitol audiences for the last 30 years. This week the Capitol Theatre and Windsor Symphony Orchestra celebrate Allen’s three decades of service.

Gayle has been working in some capacity at the Capitol Theatre since the 1995-1996 season. Her career started when she was part of a group working fundraising bingos for the Capitol Theatre. That escalated quickly when the opportunity to help with the bar service at events came up. Allen became assistant Front of House manager, learning the ins and outs of day-to-day theatre operations.
In 2002, Allen stepped into the position of Front of House manager. “The duties and responsibilities that come with the position are endless. For each event, getting everyone into the theatre, and making sure the shows start precisely on time is my main concern. I make sure they have whatever it takes to put on the show,” said Gayle Allen.
Gayle’s Capitol and WSO family will celebrate this milestone all month.
