WINDSOR – An exciting musical celebration filled with warmth and energy is how the Windsor Symphony Orchestra (WSO) will complete its Toldo Pops Series for the 2026-2027 season.

Sultans of String

The WSO welcomes the Sultans of String as they return to the Capitol Theatre this weekend performing Walking Through the Fire – a collection of collaborations with First Nations, Metis, and Inuit artists from across Turtle Island.

The concert is the fifth and final Pops for the WSO’s current season.

“This season’s Toldo Pops have offered an extraordinary variety of music for everyone,” says Patti Lauzon, WSO executive director. “From the music of Star Wars to Motown and now ending with a special concert from the Sultans of String, our WSO has filled the Capitol Theatre with joyous music giving audiences a season to remember.”

The Sultans of String are a Juno-nominated and Billboard charting band that has been performing and thrilling audiences for over a decade. The concerts this weekend will feature Indigenous collaborators including an Ojibwe guitarist and singer, a Metis violist and Ts’msyen drummer.

There are two performances of the Sultans of String Return: Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.windsorsymphony.com or 519-973-1238.
