WSO’s Celebrates Music Inspired by Ukraine

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra celebrates music inspired by Ukraine

Over 1,200 students will attend concerts as part of the WSO’s partnerships with the Greater Essex County District School Board and the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board.

The program for grades 7 – 12 includes Ukrainian and Canadian national anthems, along with Tchaikovsky’s tribute to the Ukraine; Symphony No. 2.

On Saturday and Sunday, the WSO will hold its fourth Masterworks concert featuring Cuban American cellist Tommy Mesa under the direction of guest conductor, Martin MacDonald.

In addition to Tchaikovsky’s Symphony the program includes Canadian composer Jocelyn Morlock’s Lucid Dreams.
