The WSO season ends with spectacular concert weekend

WINDSOR – The Windsor Symphony Orchestra (WSO) will end its current season with a spectacular celebration of music by a legendary composer.

The WSO’s Rachmaninoff will conclude the 2025-2026 Bill and Rochelle Tepperman Masterworks series. Concerts will take place on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3.

The orchestra will perform Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 in E minor conducted by guest, Cosette Justo Valdes.

“This weekend will be an incredibly powerful performance and a wonderful way to conclude our 2025-2026 season,” says WSO executive director, Patti Lauzon.

One of the fun facts about the music to be performed this weekend, is that American singer-songwriter Eric Carmen based his 1976 ballad “Never Gonna Fall in Love Again” on the piece’s third movement.

There are two performances of the Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.windsorsymphony.com or 519-973-1238.

Patrons are encouraged to ride their bikes this Sunday as part of the Ontario By Bike initiative and receive a Buy-One-Get-One-Free ticket offer.

The Masterworks series is sponsored by the Tepperman’s and the concert is supported by Bill and Lynn Baker.
