Windsor, ON – The Windsor Symphony Orchestra performs its 5th and final Toldo Pops concert of the season. Pianist Mark Payne performs I Love a Piano, along with the WSO, and guest pianist Brian Barber.
Under the baton of Assistant Conductor Francisco Hernández Bolaños, patrons will enjoy music including Rhapsody in Blue, The Greatest Showman, The Music of the Night, hits from Elton John and more! Mark and his music are the perfect way to wrap up the Toldo Pops in our 75th Celebration Season.

Currently living in London, Ontario, Mark is a native Newfoundlander, equally at home on the stage or in the studio, singing, playing, conducting, writing and arranging. With multiple degrees in classical piano performance, he has performed as a soloist and collaborator throughout Canada and the US. Mark was the resident opera coach at Western University for 10 years and has worked as vocal coach and repetiteur for Pacific Opera Victoria, Calgary Opera and the San Francisco Opera. He has been the resident Musical Director at the Victoria Playhouse Petrolia for the past 10 years, where he arranges music for the 6-show season, rehearses the cast, and performs in most of the shows. Mark recently orchestrated and performed “The Crooner” with Canadian crooner, Michael Vanhevel with the Kingston Symphony. Mark will headline the show “East Coast Kitchen Party, The Leftovers” at the Victoria Playhouse, as a follow-up to the most successful show in VPP history, “Mark Payne’s East Coast Kitchen Party”, from 2018.
Brian Barber is a musician based in Waterloo, Ontario. With over twenty years of experience performing, Brian has a highly diverse and extensive musical background. He spent two years entertaining international crowds on Australia-based cruise ships. Closer to home, he has been involved with several productions under the musical direction of Mark Payne.
