The Music. The Story. The Food., was the brainchild of Maestro Robert Franz and Dr. Rob Nelson, Historian (University of Windsor) and Cook. Together they explore the story behind the music; how composers wrote music, and the hardships and victories that influenced them. Viewers will receive recipes to create delectable dishes at home to enjoy while they watch the WSO perform!

In this digital series of seven (7) concerts, Maestro Robert Franz, sets the stage with the stories about the composers and the times in which they lived.
Dr. Rob Nelson spotlights the food connected with the music, from feta tart to Manchego cheese and seafood stew to chicken and dumplings. Find out why we use tomato sauce on pizza and where true hot chocolate comes from!
Music and food – a natural pairing. Complete with recipes for you to cook at home. Not in the mood to cook? The episodes stand on their own or you can enjoy the food from one of the local restaurant partners for this series.
