Maestro Robert Franz and Concertmaster Lillian Scheirich recognized for contribution to the arts.

The WSO is proud to see two remarkable members of our WSO family recognized at the Windsor Endowment for the Arts and Mayor’s Arts Awards.

The Mayor’s Arts Award – Posthumous Award for Contribution to the Arts was presented to Robert Franz, accepted on behalf of his husband, Brandon Atkins. Robert’s impact on our orchestra, our musicians, and our community continues to be deeply felt every day. So incredibly deserving. We miss you, Robert.

We also celebrate Lillian Scheirich, recipient of the Windsor Endowment for the Arts Performing Arts Leadership Award. As WSO Concertmaster for 40 years, Lillian has helped shape this organization with her leadership, dedication, and artistry. Our community is so lucky to have you.
