The Nightingale, with music by Canadian composer Kevin Lau, tells the well-loved Hans Christian Andersen fable, with illustrations by artist Amy Scheidegger Ducos. Set in Imperial China, the story of an emperor, a kitchen girl, and the most beautiful birdsong in the world, the story has delighted and moved children of all ages for almost 200 years.
