Fall 2021 brings the excitement of returning to live musical performances combined with maximum flexibility. We’re excited at the thought of being able to perform for you live and look forward to once again experiencing the energy of having you with us in person. Patrons can choose to come to the Capitol Theatre for a live performance or enjoy the music livestreamed into their own homes. Even better…the concerts will be available to all subscribers on-line until the end of December, to be enjoyed again whenever you want. So, our home or yours?
Looking ahead, we also will continue to “pivot” as opportunities arise. From January to March we have a new digital series: “The Music. The Story. The Food.” This series will INSPIRE all your senses! This series is the brainchild of Maestro Robert Franz and Dr. Rob Nelson, Historian (University of Windsor) and Cook. Together they explore the story behind the music; how composers wrote music, and the hardships and victories that influenced them. Viewers will receive recipes to create delectable dishes at home to enjoy while they watch the WSO perform!

The Fall 2021 Bill & Rochelle Tepperman Masterworks will transport you to Italy, showcase the passion and charm of world folk music, and feature music inspired by the bard, William Shakespeare. In each program, Maestro Robert Franz teams up with the Art Gallery of Windsor for a special visual arts connection.

The Toldo Pops Series features the most popular music from movies, Broadway, jazz, blues, folk, light classics, and comedy. The programming combines internationally renowned artists with talented artists of all stripes from the Windsor/Essex area.

Join Dan and Jan for the WSO’s Family Concerts! These concerts are ideal for kids ages 4 to 10. Music, dance, singing, and books make these concerts a great outing for the whole family.

Classical music meets rocks at the WSO Rocks! concert “Music of The Who.” Lead my maestro Daniel Wiley, the WSO joins Jeans ‘n Classics to deliver the iconic epic rock hits of The Who.
Our Home: In-Person Concerts
The seating for live performances is very limited. Please reserve ASAP if a live performance is your preferred option. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seats will be assigned by Box Office staff after ticket purchase, to ensure we adhere to the provincial requirements for indoor performances. We will do our best to accommodate your requests. You will receive your assigned seat number by email the week before the concert.
If you have subscribed in the 2019-2020 season, even though we might not be able to offer your “regular’ seat this fall, we will keep your subscribed seat in your name and it will be available to you once we return to normal capacity.
Your Home: Livestream Digital Concerts
The Bill & Rochelle Tepperman Masterworks Series and the Toldo Pops Series will be available as digital packages. These performances will be livestreamed on Saturdays. Enjoy the WSO from the comfort of your own home!
We are unable to seat patrons in their typically subscribed seats due to social distance measures, but don’t worry, your seat is safe with us. If you subscribed in the 2019-2020 season, even though we cannot guarantee your “regular’ seat this fall, we will keep your subscribed seat in your name and it will be available to you once we return to normal capacity.
