In celebration of the kick-off of giving season, WSO Board Chair Deborah Severs and Music Director Robert Franz have teamed up to match the first $3,500 donated to the WSO for Giving Tuesday!
At the WSO, Giving Tuesday supports our Education and Community Outreach programs. You are invited to join Maestro Franz and Deborah’s firm, Hogarth Hermiston Severs, in the success of these programs with a gift today. The first $3,500 donated will be matched!
The WSO’s Education and Outreach Programs include:
• The Windsor Symphony Youth and Community Orchestras
• 28 Education Concerts for more than 9,000 students
• 20 Open Rehearsals with a String Quartet in schools for young students
• 13 Music for Health performances for 1,145 seniors in long-term care homes
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, taking place each year after Black Friday. Charities, companies, and individuals join forces to rally for their favourite causes. Last year, 6 million Canadians participated in Giving Tuesday and raised $50 million dollars for charitable causes.
This year, our goal is to raise $10,000 for these programs with Giving Tuesday.
