What is the Windsor Symphony Community Orchestra (WSCO)?
The WSCO is a community orchestra comprised of adults who share a passion for having fun and making music in a non-professional ensemble.
Who is eligible for the Windsor Symphony Community Orchestra (WSCO)?
Any adult musician who plays an orchestral instrument: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, french horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, timpani/percussion, violin, viola, cello, bass. If you are still in grade school and would like an orchestra to play in, please check out the Windsor Symphony Youth Orchestra!
Are there any other community groups I could get involved with?
We at the WSCO belive that community ensembles are a fundmental resource and outlet! If you are unable to join the WSCO, please consider one of the following community ensembles to participate in!
How do I enter the WSCO?
In order to become a part of the WSCO, you must audition. That being said, we understand the audition process can be somewhat daunting. Please contact dwiley@windsorsymphony.com with any questions or concerns you may have.
What is the fee for the Windsor Symphony Community Orchestra?
WSCO: $113 (including HST)
Mail or bring a cheque to the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, Capitol Theatre, 121 University Ave. W., Windsor ON N9A 5P4. We also do not want payment to be a barrier to your joining us. If you are in financial need please email dwiley@windsorsymphony.com
When and where are the rehearsals?
Tuesday Evenings 7:00 - 9:15pm at the Capitol Theatre
What is the dress code for concerts?
Men- Black regular tux, black bowtie, black shoes
Ladies - long or 3/4 length black dress or skirt or long formal black dress pants with a black blouse (long or 3/4 sleeved, covered shoulders).
