Brandon Leis
Tenor Brandon Leis performs regularly in southwestern Ontario and Michigan as an opera, oratorio and concert soloist. He has, most recently, been a featured soloist with the Stratford Summer Music festival in Bach’s Coffee Cantata, the K-W Symphony and the Mennonite Mass choir in Handel’s Messiah, Wilfrid Laurier University Choir in Orff’s Carmina Burana, the International Symphony Orchestra (Messiah, Mozart Requiem, Die Schoene Muellerin), and the University of Windsor Choir and Orchestra in Britten’s Saint Nicolas. As well, he recently recorded As Through a Glass Darkly, a song cycle by Heather Dawn Taves, on the disc Notes Towards, produced by Chestnut Hall.
Brandon is currently an adjunct professor of voice and music history at Heritage College in Cambridge, the Director of Music at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church in Kitchener, and is an artist in residence and instructor at the Cantiamo Music Academy in Kitchener. ❧
